What is the Parade of Homes?
The Twin Cities’ Parade of Homes has been a tradition since 1948, making it the largest and longest-running home tour in the U.S.! What began with just a handful of homes in a single development has grown into an epic event showcasing hundreds of new constructions each year. It's the perfect chance to see the latest trends in home design and construction — all while getting ideas for your own space!

Highlight Events to Check Out

  • Remodelers Showcase: Launched in 1984, this tour focuses on beautifully remodeled homes that have been updated to meet the modern needs of their owners. The Remodelers Showcase now takes place on the final weekend of the Parade of Homes, offering the best of both worlds: newly built and expertly renovated homes.

  • Artisan Home Tour: For lovers of high-end design, this ticketed tour (started in 2014) is a can’t-miss! This year, two separate Artisan Home Tours — one in the summer and one in the fall — will give you an inside look at some of the finest custom homes in the area. From luxurious finishes to architectural masterpieces, these homes are a feast for the eyes.

  • Minnesota’s Green Path: Launched by Housing First Minnesota in 2011, this program highlights homes that meet high energy efficiency standards. If sustainability and green living are important to you, this program is a great resource for finding homes that are not only beautiful but also energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

The Power Behind the Parade
Housing First Minnesota, an association of over 900 builders, remodelers, developers, and suppliers, organizes this incredible event. Their mission is to make homeownership more accessible to Minnesota families, and they’ve been doing it for over 75 years.

Supporting a Great Cause
A portion of the event proceeds benefits the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, which works to provide safe, affordable housing to those in need. This charitable arm partners with HomeAid America to build, renovate, and repair transitional housing in the Twin Cities.

Why You Should Attend
From breathtaking new homes to innovative design concepts and helpful sustainability programs, the Parade of Homes is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the latest trends, get inspired, and maybe even find your next dream home. It’s also an excellent way to network with local builders, architects, and real estate experts!

So, whether you're looking for a fresh home design idea or you're in the market for a new place, the Spring Parade of Homes is the event to mark on your calendar.
